MINI Announces US Pricing for 2016 Clubman
Recently, the redesigned 2016 MINI Clubman debuted at the Frankfurt Motor Show to much acclaim. Bigger and more comfortable than ever before, the six-door Clubman is a whopping 10 inches longer and more than five inches wider than the previous model. Now, MINI has released pricing information for the luxury compact car, which will arrive at US dealerships in January 2016.
MINI’s larger-than-life wagon will start at $24,100 for the base model, with the tricked-out Clubman S starting at $27,650. Neither price includes MINI’s $850 destination and handling fee. That price goes up if you want to opt for any of MINI’s accessories or add-ons, which are available individually or as part of various packages.
Inside, the Clubman will offer a range of upholsteries, including Burgundy leather with Dinamica trim, and Indigo blue-dyed leather with diamond stitching. The base Cooper model will come with a leather-wrapped steering wheel, dual-zone automatic climate control, 12-color ambient lighting, and automatic headlights. The sporty Cooper S comes with sport seats with increased bolstering, paddle shifters, halogen foglights, rain-sensing windshield wipers, and chrome-tipped dual exhaust outlets.
Although the Clubman won’t be on sale until January, customers can build or pre-order theirs using the configurator on the automaker’s website. Mine ended up being $38,606 with all options and accessories, but it’s easily the most awesome MINI ever built, so well worth the price.
