2015 Mustang HPE700 Supercharged Makes Hellcats Cry
There are a few questions that are just sort of expected when the 2015 Ford Mustang hits the market. One of those questions: so when is that madman John Hennessey going to get his hands on it and what does he plan on doing?
Well, we have our answer: he’s already gotten his hands on one, and he calls it the HPE700 Supercharged. Remember how everyone was getting all worked up about the Challenger Hellcat and its 707 horsepower? Yeah, well so did John Hennessey, which is why the HPE700 sees the Hellcat’s 707 and raises it 717.
That’s good for a 3.6-second 0-60 time and an 11.2-second quarter-mile at a top speed of 131.
“We’re very excited about the 2015 Ford Mustang and so are our performance-minded clients,” said John Hennessey. “Our HPE700 Supercharged upgrade will elevate this Motown Missile’s performance to rival some of the fastest European sports cars. We can’t wait to share our specially tuned Mustang with the world!”
Yeah, we definitely can’t wait either. Hennessey will only be making 500 of its HPE700 Supercharged at a starting price of $59,500. Uh huh, that also means it’s cheaper than a Hellcat. Might want to act fast if’n ya want one! Chances are pretty good that if they aren’t all gone already, they’re getting there but quick.
You can order the HPE700 Supercharged at any one of the 37 AutoNation Ford dealerships across the country.
Oh, and if your second question is whether or not John Hennessey plans to crazy up an EcoBoost Mustang, you’ll be happy to know that he absolutely is. Because he’s a madman, and we all love him for it.
