“The timing couldn’t be better. Bringing LEAF to some of the most enthusiastic EV advocates just days after its global debut is the perfect way to kick things off for this technology-packed car,” said Brian Maragno, director, Nissan EV Marketing and Sales Strategy. “We can’t wait to show off the all-new LEAF to electric vehicle owners and enthusiasts during National Drive Electric Week.”
On Saturday, September 9th, the next-generation Nissan Leaf will be on display in Seattle, Washington, San Diego, California, and Alpharetta, Georgia. Thursday, September 14th, the Leaf will make its way to Bridgewater, New Jersey. Finally, on Saturday, September 16th, the Nissan Leaf will be parked in Portland, Oregon, Los Angeles, California, Cupertino, California, and Cambridge, Massachusetts. All of these stops correspond to organized events to celebrate National Electric Drive Week, and you can visit the week’s website to learn more about each event and precisely where each Nissan Leaf will be parked.
Nissan’s main goal for sending the Nissan Leaf out so soon is to let consumers get acquainted with the new generation. If the spy photos are any indication, this vehicle will look much different than the models on showroom floors today. Traditionally new cars are sent to auto shows for customers and industry insiders alike to examine, but the season for those is still months away in the United States.
If you have the time, we recommend you go see this car for yourself, especially before possibly putting in an order. The new Nissan Leaf promises to change how we think about this pioneer EV.
*Editor’s Note: Yes, we realize this is actually nine days, and a week is only seven. We didn’t create the event, we’re just reporting on it.
