As the premium Genesis brand continues to set itself apart from its Hyundai roots, prepare to see its presence as a sponsor in many different places. The most recent sponsorship of automaker Genesis is the title sponsorship of the L.A. PGA TOUR tournament at The Riviera Country Club in Pacific Palisades, California.
Being renamed the Genesis Open, this gathering of the world’s most skilled professional golfers has been a long-running highlight of the PGA TOUR. Over the past century, the course has seen its share of historic moments, with 25 champions entering the World Golf Hall of Fame.
Genesis hopes that its prominent role in the PGA TOUR will bring its presence to the public eye.
For 90 years, the PGA TOUR has been leaving its mark on Los Angeles, and this February, luxury automaker Genesis will bring its own refined style to Los Angeles. In partnership with host organization the Tiger Woods Foundation, the Genesis Open is bound to attract even more fans.
“Genesis represents a unique and different approach to automotive luxury and the Genesis Open is an ideal platform to share our vision, dynamic vehicles and personalized ownership experience,” said Erwin Raphael, US general manager of the Genesis brand. “This tournament is one of the most prominent on the PGA TOUR and is played at one of the world’s best courses, so it was a natural fit for our first major sports marketing program.”
