Industry Sees Record Kia November Sales
After promising that it would deliver seven all-new or significantly redesigned models to the dealer showrooms in 2013, Kia has come full circle, completing this promise and reporting record-breaking November sales. With over 45,411 units sold in the second to last month of the quarter, Kia crossed the 500,000 unit mark for the second time in company history and is looking to close out 2013 strong with the hopes of even greater sales in 2014.
Helping Kia November sales were the second-generation Kia Soul, which sold 12,870 units, while the redesigned 2014 Optima sold 10,871. The Kia Sorento was the third highest selling model with 8,645 units sold, while the Sportage nearly doubled in units sold year-over-year.
Kia is looking to continue this increase in sales with the introduction of the all new 2015 K900 in Spring 2014, which the carmaker showed off at the LA Auto Show last month. Also on the schedule to be introduced to the car industry is a brand new minivan and the company’s first ever electric vehicle.
With sales like this, I’m sure even the Kia Hamsters are dancing!
