Subaru WinterFest 2017: Copper Mountain Resort, CO
Subaru is chugging along with its 2017 Subaru WinterFest Tour, making a stop at Copper Mountain Resort in Colorado this weekend. The event will be filled with gear demonstrations, new Subaru vehicles, and everything winter sport related. If you’re in the area, be sure to check it out!
What to expect at the event
The tour will stop at Copper Mountain on Saturday and Sunday (18th – 19th) for two snow packed days of education and free stuff. Daily giveaways will occur from the tour’s sponsors, and gear demonstrations will happen as well. Subaru representatives will also be on hand to give out cool swag and educate those wanting to learn more about the versatile vehicles.
Brands that have made appearances at past events include Thule, Nordica, Lib Tech, Under Armour, and Klean Kanteen. Craft coffee creator Ozo has also been present, handing out warm drinks and delicious s’mores.

JJ’s Rocky Mountain Tavern – Open for lunch and early dinner; serving up standard American cuisine including crab cakes, pot pie, and various salads; include gluten-free and vegetarian options
Double Diamond Bar & Grill – Open for breakfast, lunch, and dinner; serving classic meals like pasta, pizza, seafood, steak, and salads; located directly next to the Super Bee lift at Copper Mountain
Mahi’s Street Tacos – Open for lunch and dinner; serving fresh and flavorful Mexican cuisine; options include mahi, blackened shrimp, Pollock, chicken, and steak tacos.
All about Copper Mountain Resort
Located about 75 miles west of Denver, Copper Mountain is a 2,465-acre resort that opened in 1972 and is operated by the Powdr Corporation. The location has a summit of 12,313 feet, 22 lifts, and 140 total trails, ranging from beginner to expert. Fun fact: the ski scenes of the 1994 film Dumb and Dumber were filmed at Copper Mountain, including the infamous scene where Harry gets his tongue stuck to the frozen ski lift.
