Remember when you were a kid, playing with tiny Tonka trucks and wishing that you could drive a life-size version when you grew up? Adult life was probably disappointing as you realized that your rusty but trusty used sedan was about as good as it was going to get. But Toyota wants you to know that there is hope.

As part of its display at the 2015 SEMA Show in Vegas, Toyota has partnered with Funrise Toy Corporation, maker of Tonka toys, to create a one-of-a-kind Tonka 4Runner. Powered by the same 4.0-liter V6 as the regular 4Runner, this version is completely different in practically every other way.
The Tonka 4Runner rides higher than its production cousin, thanks to a 10-inch Bulletproof Suspension lift kit. The vehicle, far from being boring, features matte black and yellow Tonka graphics splashed across its body. The 4Runner rides on 20-inch Ultra Motorsports Type 250 Colossus wheels with Mickey Thompson Baja MTZ off-road tires. Each tire is highlighted by a Rigid Industry LED light.
Bulletproof Suspension provided the 4Runner with welded bumpers, a roof rack, ladders, and side steps. The roof even features a pop-up tent, making it ideal for people who want to really become one with nature in the outback.
Visitors to SEMA can check out the Tonka 4Runner concept in person this week at the Las Vegas Convention Center.
