Toyota Corolla Global Sales Hit 1.22M for 2013
Toyota has announced the Toyota Corolla global sales figures for 2013. The year marked yet another record for the world’s most popular car, as Toyota moved a total of 1.22 million units of the Corolla worldwide. This marks a five percent year-over-year increase over 2012 Toyota Corolla global sales.
“The Corolla stands as the international face of Toyota and touches millions of people across the globe every day,” said Bill Fay, Toyota division group vice president and general manager. “Being the world’s best-selling car speaks volumes about the satisfaction and loyalty our customers feel about the Corolla and Toyota.”
The 2013 sales figures once again make the Corolla the best-selling vehicle model in the world. Even more impressive, however, is that worldwide sales since the vehicle appeared in 1966 topped 40.72 million as of the end of February 2014, making the Corolla the all-time best-selling vehicle model.
These figures include different Corolla variants, such as the Corolla sedan, the Corolla Axio, Corolla Atlis, Corolla Fielder, Corolla Rumion, and Corolla EX 4-door sedan.
