Toyota at the Paris Motor Show: New Concept Crossover
October is fast approaching, and in the automotive world that means the Paris Motor Show. Scheduled to begin on October 2nd and run through the 19th, the French auto show promises to tease us with stunning concepts and exciting new vehicles from automakers across the globe.
So what can we expect from Toyota at the Paris Motor Show? Well, for starters, the Japanese automaker will debut a new concept crossover that’s rumored to be at the center of the stage on the Toyota stand. Thus far, all we know is that the concept crossover will have “bold new design language with an agile, engaging drive experience and hybrid powertrain,” per a recent Toyota press release. From the teaser image released today by Toyota, the crossover, which will be named the C-HR concept, looks to be sporty, with a streamlined body that ends in uniquely-shaped taillights and a spoiler that brings to mind a shark’s fin.
It’s not clear whether Toyota plans to produce the C-HR for the American market, but if it were to happen, the new crossover would fit below the RAV4 in Toyota’s lineup. The rumor mill suggests that the crossover might share a platform with the recently-unveiled Auris, but for now all we know is that we have to wait another 17 days before we know for sure.
Stay tuned for more teasers and updates from the Paris Motor Show.
