Toyota Partners with Fluency Productions to Promote Sci-Fi Movie
If you’ve never heard of Fluency Productions, you’re not alone. The multi-platform content studio belongs to the better-known NBCUniversal Hispanic Group, and it’s about to release a new sci-fi movie titled Reversion. In order to help promote the movie ahead of its release, its automotive sponsor Toyota has partnered with the studio to create original videos as part of an online campaign.

The movie itself will heavily feature Toyota models like the 2015 Camry and Highlander, thanks to Toyota’s position as the exclusive automotive sponsor. Toyota has also helped to create a video that features Jeanette Samano, star of Reversion, discussing her Hispanic heritage, her journey as an actress, and her role in the movie. This video, along with one from Samsung, will be available for viewing on a Fandango Cine hub on Telemundo.com. You can also see some previews on Fandango Cine’s Facebook page.
Reversion will have its Toyota-sponsored premiere on September 29th at LA’s Downtown Independent Theatre, and will be released in select theatres in LA, NYC, and Chicago on October 9th. It’ll then be released over NBCUniversal networks such as SyFy, NBC Universo, and Telemundo, as well as web, mobile, and VOD platforms.
Speaking about the involvement, Dionne Colvin-Lovely, Toyota Motor Sales, USA’s director of traditional and new media, commented, “The new movie distribution model presents Toyota with a perfect opportunity to not only engage our guests on many levels, from traditional to digital channels, but also integrates the 2015 Toyota Camry in fun and unexpected ways throughout the film.”
The movie will also be dubbed in Spanish for Telemundo and NBC Universo.
