Who is Jason Fenske?
Unless you’re big into engineering, you likely have no clue who Jason Fenske is. He graduated from North Carolina State University with a degree in mechanical engineering and became fascinated with cars (and how they work) because of a video game. In 2011, Fenske started his own YouTube channel called EngineeringExplained, where he had the idea to teach people about automotive engineering as well as general engineering concepts.
Over the eight years it has existed, almost 800 videos have been uploaded to the successful channel, which has over 2 million subscribers. Fenske covers all kinds of vehicles and automakers, asking and answering questions about technology and engineering quirks. This is likely what caught the eye of GMC, who hired Fenske to discuss topics like these in regards to the entire lineup.

He also covers features for the Sierra Denali, Sierra Denali HD, Acadia Denali, and Canyon SLT. In total, 22 videos were created featuring Fenske, with all of them being uploaded during a four-day span.
