In an ideal world, this video doesn’t need a warning. But, ya know, here’s a warning

The folks at Texas Armoring Corporation, as one might guess from their name, are in the business of armoring cars. For almost 40 years, they’ve been the global leader in manufacturing and supplying lightweight armored and bulletproof vehicles, and the TAC team has something close to 200 years of combined experience in making vehicles that are impervious to pain.

Naturally, they’re pretty damn good at what they do. They’re also just a little bit crazy.

This rings particularly true for TAC President and CEO Trent Kimball, who felt that the best way to demonstrate the effectiveness of one of the company’s bulletproofed vehicles was to sit behind the wheel of a Mercedes-Benz GL-Class and let an employee fire an AK-47 at him.

‘MURICA. TEXAS. TEXAMURICA.

“When it comes to assuring our clients’ safety, we take product testing extremely seriously,” says Kimball with a steely confidence that doesn’t waver even when employee/sharpshooter Lawrence Kosub cocks the automatic weapon.

“This is your Christmas bonus, Larry.”

In the uncut shot at the end of the video, Kimball’s calm is considerably less as he admires his company’s work with a sizeable grin.

“That was freaking amazing,” he adds. “It could have taken a lot more.”

From the luxury of an interior camera, we see that Kimball hardly even flinches as the bullets slam into the windshield. He just stares straight ahead with an expressionless face, though it’s entirely likely that he’s laughing at the bony visage of death on the inside.
