Until recently, the 2019 Cadillac CT6 was available with a 2.0-liter turbocharged inline-four engine. However, that engine is no longer being offered — at least in the U.S.
The 2.0-liter turbo engine option can no longer be seen on the 2019 CT6 online configurator. And Cadillac Society reports that Cadillac’s dealer ordering system lists the engine as “no longer available” for the CT6 and “built out.”
New for the 2019 model year, this turbo engine makes 237 horsepower and 258 lb-ft of torque. It can also be found under the hood of several other GM models beyond the CT6.

Cadillac hasn’t indicated why this engine is no longer available for the CT6. The brand may have just opted to stop producing that version of the CT6. Or GM may have shifted allocation of the engine to vehicles with higher demand. It’s not clear if the engine is available for Cadillac’s international markets like China, the Middle East, and Russia.
Even in the absence of this engine, Cadillac CT6 buyers have plenty of remaining choices:
- A 3.6-liter V6 that makes 335 horsepower and 284 lb-ft of torque.
- A twin-turbo 3.0-liter V6 that delivers 404 horsepower and 400 lb-ft of torque.
- A twin-turbo 4.2-liter V8 that generates 500 horsepower and 574 lb-ft of torque.
Each of these engines is paired with a 10-speed automatic transmission.
One option CT6 customers will no longer have is rear-wheel drive. Only 2.0-liter turbo models provided this configuration. All other engines in the lineup come with standard all-wheel drive.
