2015 Ford Focus Overview
What’s New for the 2015 Ford Focus?
The 2015 Ford Focus gets a few styling tweaks on the exterior and interior as well as a new SE Sport Package.
2015 Ford Focus Exterior
The 2015 Ford Focus resembles a smaller Ford Fusion more than ever before, especially with the new Aston Martin-style grille. And that’s a good thing, because the Fusion is a looker, and the Focus still has plenty of its identity remaining. A sleek aerodynamic look, a raked windshield, and tastefully-flared fenders make it look much sportier than you’d expect from the price tag.
2015 Ford Focus Performance
The base 2015 Ford Focus is powered by a 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine rated at 160 horsepower and 146 lb-ft of torque, which comes with a five-speed manual or six-speed dual-clutch automatic. SelectShift paddles are added to the steering wheel on the Titanium models and also on the SE with Sport Package.
For customers seeking maximum efficiency, there is a 1.0-liter turbocharged inline-three-cylinder, rated at 123 hp and 148 lb-ft; it comes only with a manual and is the only available engine on the SFE trim, which focuses purely on economy.
The Focus ST is powered by a 2.0-liter turbo four-cylinder that makes 252 hp and 270 lb-ft of torque with a six-speed manual transmission.
2015 Ford Focus Efficiency
The base 2.0-liter gets 26 mpg city/36 mpg highway (manual), 26/38 mpg (automatic), or 27/40 mpg (SelectShift automatic). The 1.0-liter gets 29/40 mpg or 30/42 mpg (SFE). The Focus ST’s turbo 2.0-liter gets 23/32 mpg.
2015 Ford Focus Interior
The 2015 Ford Focus’s interior takes a step toward increased usability, with a small cubby and USB port ahead of the shifter for your phone, easier-to-use climate controls and wheel buttons, and a more logically-placed door-lock switch. New sound-deadening technology combined with the usual high-quality materials make the experience feel more premium than it should for the price, brought down only by lower-than-average roominess.
2015 Ford Focus Safety
The 2015 Ford Focus comes standard with antilock brakes, stability control, front side airbags, side curtain airbags, and a driver knee airbag. The Technology package on the Titanium trim adds blind-spot warning, rear cross-traffic alert, lane-departure warning, and lane-keeping assist. It received five out of five stars for combined safety in government crash tests and was named a Top Safety Pick by the IIHS.
