What’s New for the 2019 Genesis G70?
Everything is new for the 2019 Genesis G70, which is in its first model year. Over its brief lifespan, the G70 has already raked in an impressive collection of awards, including 2019 North American Car of the Year, IIHS Top Safety Pick+, Car and Driver 10Best, Motor Trend Car of the Year, MotorWeek Best Luxury Car, Cars.com Best of 2019, Autotrader 2019 Best New Car, and a top ranking for its segment in the J.D. Performance
The G70 offers two engine options, both of which enable speedy, exhilarating performance. The 2.0T trim carries a 2.0-liter turbo inline-four that makes 252 horsepower and 260 lb-ft of torque. This engine can be mated to either a six-speed manual transmission or an eight-speed automatic.
The 3.3T trim cranks up the power with a 3.3-liter twin-turbo V6 that delivers 365 horsepower and 376 lb-ft of torque. This engine comes paired with the eight-speed automatic transmission and can roar from 0 to 60 mph in just 4.5 seconds.

Exterior Features
Aggressively sleek and low-slung, the G70 is a striking presence on the road. From its crosshatched grille to its twin-tipped exhaust and 18-inch alloy wheels, the G70’s design stands out. Standard heated mirrors and a hands-free smart trunk add a practical touch. On the 3.3T trim, full LED headlights, 19-inch alloy wheels, and a Brembo braking system heighten the car’s looks.
Interior Features
Inside the sporty cabin of the G70, drivers will find standard leatherette seating and accents, power-adjustable seating, dual automatic temperature control, and a leather-wrapped steering wheel and shift knob. Available upgrades include aluminum cabin trim, diamond-quilted Nappa leather sport seats with heating and ventilation, and a panoramic power tilt-and-slide sunroof. For even more comfort behind the wheel, there’s an optional 16-way power-adjustable driver’s seat with adjustable side bolsters and a power cushion extension.
Infotainment and Safety Tech
For infotainment, the G70 is equipped with a standard 8-inch color touch-screen system that runs Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, Bluetooth, and SiriusXM satellite radio. Integrated navigation and a 15-speaker Lexicon audio system can be added on. The G70 also carries a full suite of standard active-safety features, including Forward Collision-Avoidance Assist with Pedestrian Detection, Smart Cruise Control with Stop and Go, Blind-Spot Collision Warning with Rear Cross-Traffic Collision Warning, and Lane Keeping Assist. An available Surround View Monitor provides a complete 360-degree view around the car.
