The 2019 Elantra GT’s main trim largely carries over from the previous model year. However, the N Line trim, which replaces the Sport trim, is all-new and offers an array of unique performance-focused features. The suspension and steering are sport-tuned, the chassis has been stiffened, and the brakes are larger. Other highlights include exclusive N Line badging and 18-inch wheels, a leather-wrapped N Line steering wheel, heated N Line leather sport seats, an N Line gearshift, and red interior stitching and accents.

Performance and Efficiency
The 2019 Elantra GT comes with two engine options. The base trim offers a 2.0-liter GDI four-cylinder engine that gets 161 horsepower and 150 lb-ft of torque. It’s connected to a six-speed automatic transmission with Shiftronic and achieves 27 mpg combined. The N Line carries a 1.6-liter turbo GDI four-cylinder engine that makes 201 horsepower and 195 lb-ft of torque. Equipped with a six-speed manual transmission, it gets 26 mpg combined. With the available seven-speed dual-clutch transmission, it achieves a combined 28 mpg.

Exterior Features
The 2019 Elantra GT’s striking hatchback looks are enhanced by 17-inch alloy wheels, a chrome and gloss black grille, and chrome window belt moldings. Helpful exterior features include heated side mirrors, a driver’s blind spot mirror, automatic headlight control, and, for the N Line, full LED headlights and taillamps. The Elantra GT can also be outfitted with an optional panoramic sunroof.

Interior Features
The 2019 Elantra GT comes standard with premium cloth seats, an 8-inch display audio system, Android Auto and Apple CarPlay smartphone integration, Bluetooth, and steering wheel-mounted controls. The base trim offers an optional Style Package that adds luxuries like heated leather seats, dual automatic temperature control, and a leather-wrapped steering wheel and shift knob. The N Line offers extra options like wireless charging, navigation, and ventilated seats. Both trims contain a generous 55.1 cubic feet of cargo space when the rear seats are folded.

Safety Tech
The 2019 Elantra GT features several available active-safety technologies. To assist with visibility, the base trim offers Lane Change Assist and Blind-Spot Collision Warning with Rear Cross-Traffic Collision Warning. The N Line adds options like Smart Cruise Control, Forward Collision-Avoidance Assist, Lane Keep Assist, Driver Attention Alert, and Hyundai’s Blue Link connected services. Both trims come with standard Vehicle Stability Management, Electronic Stability Control, anti-lock brakes and a rearview camera.
