Chevrolet made quite a splash at the 2019 SEMA show by introducing the John Force Edition 2020 COPO Camaro. Designed to celebrate the 16-time NHRA-winning driver, this COPO Camaro sports both unique styling and plenty of supercharged power.

Aside from its custom styling, the John Force Edition 2020 COPO Camaro boasts an exclusive ID plaque, which reads “2020COPO-FORCE.” As such, it’s not considered part of Chevy’s annual production run of 69 COPO Camaro models.
Both the legendary drag racer and the iconic automaker are excited about this collaboration. “John Force is one of the most legendary drag racers in history – and his legend started with Chevrolet,” stated Jim Campbell, General Motors vice president of Performance and Motorsports. He also looks forward to seeing how much it will command on the auction block at the 2020 Barrett-Jackson Scottsdale auction, held in January 2020.
Proceeds from the John Force Edition 2020 COPO Camaro will be donated to DonorsChoose.org, a charity that helps public school teachers access materials needed to enhance their students’ learning experience.
Force expressed that he was proud to help design the new car, and that he’s thrilled with how the vehicle turned out. “The COPO Camaro is already a formidable car, and hard to beat on the track. But this one is even more special, as it will help support a cause I firmly believe in,” Force explained.
Even if you can’t get your hands on the one-of-a-kind John Force Edition Camaro, you can choose a silver-and-black color scheme on the regular 2020 COPO Camaro, along with a wealth of other color options, including Summit White, Satin Steel Gray, Black, Red, Garnet Red Hugger Orange, Olympic Gold Poly, Butternut Yellow, Fathom Green Poly, Frost Green Poly, and Azure Turquoise Poly.
The 2020 model boasts an updated LSX-based 350 engine with a 2.65-liter Magnuson supercharger. You can also opt for a naturally aspirated 427 engine.
