The 2021 Infiniti QX50 is a luxury crossover that offers plenty of available tech and comfort features. It enters the latest model year with a few high-tech upgrades. At every trim level, it comes equipped with a built-in Wi-Fi hotspot, additional safety features, and even a new exterior color, Mineral Black. The Luxe trim gained the bulk of the enhancements — it now boasts heated front seats, updated blind-spot monitoring, ProPilot Assist, and offers a blackout package.

The 2021 Infiniti QX50 is available at five trim levels: Pure, Luxe, Essential, Sensory, and Autograph. It comes standard with front-wheel drive, but offers optional all-wheel drive at every trim level.

Exterior

The QX50 comes in a wider variety of colors compared to other luxury crossovers. Its offerings include Dynamic Sunstone Red, Hermosa Blue, and Mocha Almond. You can also opt for convenient features like a motion-activated liftgate, rain-sensing windshield wipers, and fog-busting heated outside mirrors. On top of that, you can opt for a panoramic moonroof to let some light and fresh air into the cabin.

Interior

When it comes to interior amenities, the QX50 offers fairly standard features for its segment, including a dual-zone automatic temperature control system, leatherette seating, Bluetooth connectivity, and the Infiniti InTouch™ infotainment system, which now comes with a Wi-Fi hotspot.

You can upgrade the QX50’s standard six-speaker setup to a Bose Performance Series 16-speaker premium audio system, and swap the leatherette seats for semi-aniline leather-appointed seating which comes complete with climate-controlled front seats. Other comfort-enhancing upgrades include a heated steering wheel and a tri-zone automatic climate control system.

Powertrain

Powered by the exclusive 2.0-liter VC-Turbo inline-four engine, the 2021 Infiniti QX50 provides 268 horsepower, 280 lb-ft of torque, and a fuel efficiency rating that tops out at 29 mpg on the highway. It also boasts a Continuously Variable Transmission that provides a smooth ride and enhances efficiency. You can even customize your driving experience with the INFINITI Drive Mode, which lets you choose between Standard, Sport, Eco and Personal modes.

Safety

Much like its Nissan cousins, the Infiniti lineup comes thoroughly equipped with safety tech, and the QX50 is no exception. With standard Lane Departure Warning, Predictive Forward Collision Warning, Forward Emergency Braking with Pedestrian Detection, Rear Cross Traffic Alert, and Rear Automatic Braking, the 2021 Infiniti QX50 offers a fairly robust suite of driver-assist technology.
