New features
Although the QX50 underwent a complete redesign for the 2019 model year, INFINITI continues to add features to its entry-level SUV. All trims now come standard with Wi-Fi hotspots, noise-blocking acoustic front side windows, additional airbags, and an Automatic Collision Notification system. You can also opt for the new Mineral Black exterior paint option. Sure, it’s not the most exciting color in the world, but hey, it’s INFINITI we’re talking about.
The LUXE trim level, which is the first step above the base model, also received some new content. For 2021, it comes standard with heat front seats and bevy of driver-assist technologies, including ProPILOT Assist, Blind Spot Intervention, Intelligent Cruise Control, Distance Control Assist, and Lane Departure Prevention. Thanks to these upgrades, the QX50’s safety tech is closer to being on par with its class-leading Nissan cousins.
If you want to put a different spin on the QX50 LUXE, the 2021 model offers the Appearance Package. It adds some features from the Edition 30 model, including blacked-out exterior accents and dark interior features.
The next trim up, the ESSENTIAL, now comes standard with Traffic Sign Recognition. The penultimate SENSORY trim gained a head-up display, while the range-topping AUTOGRAPH model now comes with Direct Adaptive Steering and an available Tow Package.
