Chevy is one of the most iconic American carmakers thanks to classic models like the Chevelle, El Camino, and Corvette. Unsurprisingly, the brand’s cars have appeared in a wide variety of movies and TV shows over the years, including old-school models and brand-new ones. Here are just five of the best known.

Chevrolet Chevelle Malibu from Drive
When Ryan Gosling agreed to be in the movie Drive, director Nicolas Winding Refn told him he could pick out his character’s car himself. Rather than picking something obvious like a Corvette, Gosling opted for a 1973 Chevy Malibu, which he then proceeded to rip apart and rebuild with his own hands.
The finished product was a good match for Gosling’s character, though of course any vehicle with Ryan Gosling standing next to it is going to look pretty darned good.

Chevrolet Batmobile from The LEGO Batman Movie
The LEGO Batman Movie is not Chevy’s first run-in with a Batmobile, but it’s certainly one of the most unique. Chevy actually built a life-size version of the LEGO Batmobile and unveiled it at the 2017 North American International Auto Show in Detroit. Chevy’s LEGO Batmobile is 17 feet long and weighs 1,695.5 pounds. It took LEGO® Master Builders 1,833 hours to assemble.
Okay, so this vehicle isn’t technically in The LEGO Batman Movie, but it was too cool to leave out.

Chevrolet Camaro from Transformers
The first movie in Michael Bay’s Transformers series featured a bright yellow Chevy Camaro with a black stripe on the center of the hood, aptly named Bumblebee. In the movie, the car itself begins life as a 1977 model, eventually becoming a 2006 Camaro Concept. Bumblebee continues to make appearances throughout the rest of the movies in the franchise, including as an amber-colored Camaro SS in Transformers: Dark of the Moon.

Chevrolet Corvettes from Mr. Deeds
Alright, so most movies starring Adam Sandler are pretty missable (though I’m still partial to The Wedding Singer). But Mr. Deeds is worth watching if you’re a car fan, just for the Corvettes (you can really just watch the end, if that’s why you’re watching). Sandler’s character gains control of a media corporation after a wealthy relative dies. After going up against an evil businessman who tries to steal the company away from its rightful heir, said heir rewards Deeds with a billion dollars, some of which Deeds spends on Corvettes for everyone in his small hometown of Mandrake Falls, New Hampshire.
[wptab name=”Kill Bill: Vol. 1 (2003)”]
Chevrolet Silverado 2500 from Kill Bill: Vol. 1
When the Bride (Uma Thurman) wakes from a coma four years after being shot in the head by her lover and the leader of the Deadly Viper Assassination Squad, Bill, she discovers that a hospital worker has been raping her in her unconscious state. She kills him and steals his keys to make her escape, finding his 1997 Chevy Silverado 2500 Fleetside in the parking garage. The bright yellow truck sports the words “Pussy Wagon” on the tailgate and the license plate “PSY WGN”—not exactly a subtle getaway vehicle, but the Bride is able to use it to escape and start plotting Bill’s death.
