5 Summer Car Shows in Ohio
If you need some extra ideas to keep the family busy this summer, why not hit up some local car shows? Here are five Ohio car shows in or near the Dayton area, if you’re in need of some auto-themed fun.

Goodguys 22nd PPG Nationals – July 12-14
Head to the Ohio Expo Center in Columbus the weekend of July 12-14 to catch the Goodguys 22nd PPG Nationals. Per the event’s website, highlights include more than 6,500 rods, classics, muscle cars, trucks, and customs through the ’87 model year. Other events include “Summer of ’69: Celebrating 50 years of the Camaro,” “Smoke ’em if ya got ’em” burnout competition, Goodguys Nitro Thunderfest, and more. You can also browse more than 450 vendor and manufacturer exhibits.
Performance Classic Car Show – July 20
On Saturday, July 20, historic downtown Delaware will host the Performance Classic Car Show. The event will feature Classic and Performance cars, as well as Collector cars, trucks, and motorcycles. 100 event trophies will be awarded, along with 10 “best of” trophies. Make sure to catch the city’s Menus rock band, which will provide live music on Sandusky Street from 5-7 p.m.
Amphicar Swim-In – July 25-28
Stay cool when you take your crew to Celina on July 25-28 for the Amphicar Swim-in. This event is part of the Celina Lake Festival taking place that weekend. Whether you own an amphicar or simply want to watch them launch into the lake to go for a float, you’re bound to have an enjoyable time.
Car and Bike Show – Aug. 3
Just 30 miles southeast of Dayton, Bowerville’s Car and Bike Show on Aug. 3 offers a rewarding experience. All registered car-show participants get a free lunch, and have the chance to win one of the event’s trophies. Chazziz DJ service will supply a musical backdrop to enhance the setting. All proceeds from the event go to school scholarships.
17th Annual Asphalt Outlaws Show – Aug. 18
Catch Miamisburg’s Annual Asphalt Outlaws car, truck, and bike Show on Aug. 18. Last year’s event featured 300 cars, and this year’s event promises to have a successful turnout. A burnout contest, raffles, great food and “lots of shade,” are additional highlights of the event, per Hemmings.
