Editors praised the 2019 Pathfinder for its advanced driver assist technology, making special note of its standard Rear Door Alert system, which was created by two Nissan engineers — Marlene Mendoza, a mechanical engineer, and Elsa Foley, an industrial engineer. Designed to prevent the deaths of children left behind in hot cars, the system utilizes the horn to alert you to check the backseat before you exit the vehicle if you had opened a rear door before you started driving.
The editors at Parents magazine also were impressed with the available Intelligent Around View Monitor. This innovative feature delivers you a “360-degree view” to help you avoid an accident.

The 2019 Nissan Pathfinder is available at four trim levels — S, SV, SL, and Platinum. You have the option of two-wheel or four-wheel drive on each trim. The 3.5-liter V6 engine paired to an Xtronic CVT® generates 284 horsepower and 259 lb-ft of torque.
