What’s the point in buying a luxury car if you don’t want to get attention on the road? Rene Turrek certainly understands that and is taking luxury cars to the next level with one-of-a-kind paint jobs that have an air of mystique to them.

On first sight, the cars Rene Turrek paints seem like any other, with solid single-tone paint jobs. However, take that same luxury model out on a hot day — or dump hot water over the top of it — and Turrek’s high-end paint jobs really shine through.

Each custom car has intricately detailed design work that has been done to the owner’s specifications and then covered over with a coat of single-tone heat-sensitive paint. Generally, air compressors are recommended for painting cars, but Rene Turrek’s artwork would not be possible without them. The graffiti artist relies on the smooth finish that can only be found with a compressed air sprayer to ensure not only a one-of-a-kind undercoat on the car, but also an even, beautiful top coat.

Car owners who can’t make the choice between custom paint jobs and the more classically standard one-tone look no longer have to make a choice. Thermodynamic paint allows them to enjoy the best of both worlds.

Of course, there are limitations to this kind of paint job. In the YouTube videos where Turrek’s work is showcased, hot water is splashed over the paint job to make the two different looks immediately apparent to the viewer. Outside of YouTube, however, drivers are beholden to the climate to dictate which paint job will be shown off on any particular day. In different parts of the world, one paint job may be viewed far more often than the other based solely on whether it tends to be hot or cold outside.

Still, you can’t deny how uniquely neat Turrek’s designs are — and how magical it would be to watch a car transform from a solid color to a graffitied masterpiece on a warm summer afternoon.
