These vehicles often ignore fuel economy in favor of raw muscle and aesthetics. Designed and built using cutting-edge tech, sports cars are either made to order or manufactured as a limited edition. Because of these factors, the price tag for an exotic sports car is off-the-charts insane!
For celebrities who want to make a statement when they arrive at a red-carpet event, a rare and expensive exotic is the perfect medium. If you’re going to look, feel, and come to events like a celebrity, you have two options:
- Go to Hollywood and try to become a star.
- Buy a used exotic sports car either owned by a celebrity, or one that looks exactly like it. (Don’t worry; you can always VIN search the owner to make sure).

The football star’s customized 911 sold for over $150,000, way above today’s market value (because of the name attached to it). But if you want a real performance car, you can’t go wrong with a Porsche. The 911 Turbo Cabriolet has a twin-turbocharged flat-6 that makes 480 horsepower and 460 lb-ft of torque.
24 and Designated Survivor star Kiefer Sutherland’s DB9 was on the market recently. The DB9 has a 6.0-liter V12 engine that produces 470 horsepower and 443 lb-ft of torque. If you’re a fan of the star and the car, there are some silver DB9s still available if you can’t track down the original car.
Classic rap star meets classic sports car in Sir Mix-A-Lot’s customized Porsche 911 Turbo Gemballa. The rapper calls the vehicle “Blurple” because it’s purple and “goes like a blur.” The car has a 3.0-liter turbocharged flat-6 mated to a five-speed manual transmission.
If you’re looking for real American classics, say hello to the late Neil Armstrong’s Corvette 427 coupe. The car sold for a staggering $250,000 back in 2012 on eBay. The 1966-67 Corvette had a monstrous Big-Block V8 under the hood that made 390 horsepower. Not bad for an old-timer!
Comedic icon Jerry Seinfeld reportedly sold his beloved 993 Turbo S for under $250,000. This classic sports car has normally-aspirated Flat 6 makes about 424 horses and 423 lb-ft of torque.
Rick Ross has excellent taste in vehicles. His customized 2008 Murcielago is proof of that. The car sold for $210,000 on eBay back in 2013, and the same model still commands a steep price today. This beast of a sports car has a 6.5-liter V12 that churns out 632 horsepower and 487 lb- ft of torque.
Rocky deemed his black Panamera expendable and put it up for auction in 2011. Sly’s Porsche had full options such as 20-inch RS Spyder rims and a BOSE surround sound speaker system, among others. The Panamera 4S has a 4.8-liter V8 engine that pumps out 400 horsepower and 369 lb-ft of torque.
Hollywood stardom is within reach when you’re rolling in one of these sports cars. The trick is to have enough money to afford one and scour the celebrity used car scene for anyone selling a car from a bonafide superstar. Just don’t look to get a car owned by some obscure B-movie actor and you’re good to go!
