Nissan Titan XD and Nissan Maxima Honored at Chicago Auto Show
The Chicago Auto Show is a major event on the American automotive calendar, with new concept and production cars rolling out from several manufacturers. The event is also the venue for MotorWeek’s 2016 Drivers’ Choice Awards. Nissan was honored to receive awards for two of their redesigned models, the Nissan Titan XD and the Nissan Maxima.
The Drivers’ Choice Awards look to award the best cars on the market by category, and are meant to award vehicles that customers are more likely to purchase. Each vehicle is judged on technology, practicality, driving experience, performance, and value. Last year, the redesigned Nissan Murano won big in the Small Utility class.
The Nissan Maxima drove home with the crown for Best Sport Sedan, and the Nissan Titan XD was awarded for being the Best Pickup Truck. In the Maxima’s case, reviewers were impressed with unexpected interior comfort and upscale materials that are partnered with an impressively sculpted exterior. The Nissan Titan XD plowed through a crowded field to win its prize, impressing the MotorWeek team with its light duty plus capability, new look, and unique place in the market.
Nissan fans should tune in to the Velocity channel on February 23rd to see these vehicles in motion during a special MotorWeek episode.
