Want to see something way cooler than the wacky, low-poly Tesla Cybertruck? Check out the Infiniti Quick-X, a concept model that debuted at the 2013 Frankfurt Auto Show.
This sleek, swooping, minimalist concept truck boasts a windshield that stretches across its hood, giving it distinct proportions and hinting that the truck runs on electricity. No word on whether or not the windows shatter when pelted with metal balls.
Dare to Compare: See how Infiniti stacks up against the competition
With the cockpit pushed so far to the front, the Quick-X has more backseat cabin space. Its aerodynamic shape is further complemented by its solid wheel rims, and it also seems to lack side mirrors, which would presumably be replaced by cameras and screens inside the cabin.
The Infiniti concept truck even has a sibling model, called the Q30 concept. There was some serious star power behind this streamlined SUV both Formula 1 driver Sebastian Vettel and Nissan senior vice president Alfonso Albaisa worked on the design.
Designer Karol Proba dreamt up the unique concept truck. Intended to be a lifestyle truck, the Quick-X isn’t designed to fill the same niche as the beefy pickups that are currently dominating the roads (and market.) In other words, the Quick-X is meant to be a show pony, not a workhorse.

You might be wondering, “Is this really happening?” And frankly, the answer is “no.” The Infiniti Quick-X is just a concept — not something the automaker intends to bring to the market. As of now, there are no indications that Infiniti is actually trying to break into the truck market, even though pickup trucks are big business, both in the North American market and around the world.
