Did anybody have colorful, rally-inspired sport vans on their 2020 bingo card? Welp, that’s very much a thing now thanks to the launch of the Ford MS-RT Transit. A collaboration between Ford Motor Company and the design maestros at MS-RT bears fruit with colorful, sporty takes on the Transit Custom and Transit Connect that are available across Europe starting this month.

Another Wild Ford: The all-new 2021 Ford Bronco has arrived at long last

Drawing inspiration from the M-Sport Ford World Rally Team’s Fiesta WRC car, the MS-RT Transit range takes the bestselling van and makes it look like a rock star. Helping that along is the availability of exclusive Ford Special Vehicle Options color options, which includes a wide variety of reds, oranges, blues, greens, and yellows. There are also optional decal kits if you really want to do it up.

This all works with a thoroughly reworked appearance that gives the MS-RT Transit a sportier feel. The face is redone to look more aggressive, wide wheel arches and side skirts help create a more planted look, and unique 18-inch OZ Racing anthracite alloy wheels drive home the athletic feel while cutting down on unsprung weight.

Both get a more dynamic-looking exhaust with the MS-RT Transit Custom getting a twin-pipe sports exhaust and the MS-RT Transit Connect getting a quad exhaust. Both are offered with Ceramic Black tips.

Powering the Ford MS-RT Transit Custom is the 2.0-liter EcoBlue, which churns out 306 lb-ft of torque and can be paired with a six-speed manual. The MS-RT Transit Connect is pretty robust itself with its 1.5-liter EcoBlue, which delivers 200 lb-ft of torque with either a six-speed manual or an eight-speed automatic.

The MS-RT Transit range is available direct through Ford Transit Centers in Hungary, France, Netherlands, Norway, Romania, and the United Kingdom. Because MS-RT is a member of Ford’s Qualified Vehicle Modifier program, the conversion will not affect warranty coverage.
