Hyundai “Most Loved” models

Who wouldn’t love this Genesis, especially with a nice shade of blue!

Just in time for Valentine’s Day, Strategic Vision released a list of the nation’s “Most Loved” vehicles (because even our four-wheeled friends need some lovin’ too). Surprisingly, Hyundai “Most Loved” models appeared on the list more than any other automaker’s vehicles: a grand total of five times, to be exact.

Included on the list were the Hyundai Elantra GT, the Hyundai Sonata, the Hyundai Genesis, the Hyundai Equus, and the Hyundai Santa Fe. The Elantra GT took top honors in the Small Multi-Function Car segment, while the Sonata dominated the Mid-Size Car category. The Genesis placed first in the Near-Luxury Car division. The Equus followed suit in the Luxury Car class. And the Santa Fe placed first in the Mid-Size CUV segment. The Equus was also the second highest scoring vehicle overall, right behind the electric car prodigy, the Tesla Model S.

“Hyundai owners really love their cars,” explained Alexander Edwards, president, Strategic Vision. “They had more segment winners in cars than any other brand and Hyundai’s Equus premium sedan finished second overall. ‘Love’ should be on any brand’s internal scorecard and is the pinnacle of achievement. Hyundai’s results demonstrate its commitment to customers and in turn their loyalty.”

But how exactly is “love” calculated? Seems pretty important: money certainly can’t buy it, yet it’s all we need. (Okay, maybe we are still pumped after the Beatles Grammy Tribute…) Strategic Vision calculated love by examining “attributes delivered by the vehicle and the dealership experiences.” These include commitment, overall satisfaction, proposed repurchase loyalty, actual repurchase loyalty, and total top emotional responses. These come together to create a Most Loved Index™, which is scored out of 1,000.

“Hyundai owners truly love their cars, so it’s no surprise that these five vehicles are being recognized by Strategic Vision,” commented Scott Margason, director, product planning, Hyundai Motor America. “Hyundai continues to provide value that customers love, offering highest-quality products with strong styling cues and packed with premium technologies and safety features.”
