2019 Chevy Silverado 2500HD and 3500HD Will Get a Few Tweaks Ahead of Big 2020 Changes
For the 2020 model year, Chevrolet is completely redesigning its Silverado 2500HD and 3500HD trucks. That means these heavy-duty models will only see a handful of changes for 2019.
The Silverado 2500HD is a three-quarter ton truck available in regular and fleet versions. For the one-ton Silverado 3500HD, available models include regular, fleet, and chassis cab.
In previous years, the Silverado 2500HD and 3500HD have been available in regular cab, crew cab, and double cab configurations. However, for 2019, the regular cab configuration will only be offered for the 3500HD chassis cab model. The double cab configuration with standard box and 4WD will also be discontinued.
The only major exterior changes for the 2019 Silverado 2500HD and 3500HD are a new paint color, Mosaic Black Metallic, and a new chrome grille with mesh insert on some trims.

For the LTZ trim level only, a new special edition will be offered. The Buildout Edition, or Silverado HD Tribute Edition, will include a Z71 door badge, front and rear black bowties, decals, a spray-on bedliner, and Front and Rear Park Assist.
As previously mentioned, the biggest Silverado changes are being saved for the 2020 models, which will be available in fall 2019. Few details have been released about the next-generation Silverado 2500HD and 3500HD, but Chevy has hinted that they will include bolder, larger proportions. Based on a teaser image released by Chevy in April, they will also have dark, intimidating faces with a split-headlight scheme above and below the grille bar, along with a sculpted hood and prominent hood scoop.
