Mitsubishi Motors North America Is Relocating
Mitsubishi Motors North America, Inc. announced that its headquarters will be relocating from Cypress, California, to Franklin, Tennessee. The move is just one way that Mitsubishi Motors is working to reinvent itself in the U.S.

What we know about the relocation
MMNA has been located in California since 1988. Originally, MMNA resided in Fountain Valley, California, but then it moved to its current location in Cypress, California.
The headquarters’ latest move is to Franklin, Tennessee. However, this location is only a temporary office, meaning the headquarters will be relocating once again as soon as the permanent office is chosen.
Currently, almost 200 workers and the west coast parts distribution center reside in the Cypress office. While all departments are relocating, the PDC is only set to move to Riverside, California.
While there may have been some initial shock, the headquarters’ relocation makes sense for MMNA. The Renault-Nissan-Mitsubishi Alliance is bringing the companies closer to each other. Accordingly, moving to Franklin makes MMNA physically closer to the headquarters of Nissan North America, Inc.
As to why the relocation is being announced now, Fred Diaz, MMNA’s president and chief executive officer, says, “This is an exciting time for us, with a refreshed leadership team, new-look dealerships and redesigned and all-new vehicles. As we drive toward the future, this is the perfect time for us to move to a new home.”

The process of relocating will begin in August, meaning the headquarters will be completely relocated by the end of the year. Only time will tell how the relocation and the other exciting changes happening at MMNA will affect the company moving forward.
