Chrysler Town & Country Nabs Best Family Hauler Award, As Expected
Dodge Dart excites with new Best Value Award
The Detroit News yesterday announced the winners of its Readers’ Choice Awards. Two Fiat Chrysler Automobile vehicles managed to snag an award—one was expected, as it has won year after year after year, and the other was an award that was a long time coming.
The winning vehicle in each category was selected by 100 jurors. In total, 1,033 readers applied to be a juror this year, but The Detroit News randomly selects just 100 to narrow it down. The organization announced the awards at yesterday’s Detroit Economic Club luncheon at the Cobo Center, where the North American International Auto Show is held each year.
For the tenth year in a row, the Chrysler Town & Country was presented with the Best Family Hauler Award. The 2015 Town & Country minivan is on a roll right now, having recently earned its 14th consecutive IHS Loyalty Award. Not to mention, its 3.6-liter Pentastar V6 engine has been named to Ward’s 10 Best Engine list three times in its history.
Meanwhile, the 2015 Dodge Dart picked up the Best Value Award, and it really isn’t much of a surprise. The Dart did, after all, top its segment in total quality in the 2014 Strategic Vision Total Quality Index.
