2015 Silverado Midnight Edition Coming to Chicago Auto Show
For the second time this month, Chevrolet is bringing one of its pickup trucks “back in black.” Right now, the new 2015 Silverado Midnight Edition is on display at the National Automobile Dealers Association Convention & Expo in San Francisco, but its official “public debut” is scheduled for February 14th at the 2015 Chicago Auto Show.
It’s an uncharacteristically dark Valentine’s Day gift to truck lovers everywhere.
Beginning with a black Z71, the 2015 Silverado Midnight Edition adds an all-black front end with a black grille, black bumper, black headlamp bezels, tow hooks and fog lamps; black side moldings and beltline moldings; 18-inch black painted alloy wheels with Goodyear Wrangler Duratrac all-terrain tires; a black spray-in bedliner; and black Chevy bowtie logos on the front and back.
It’s the kind of truck that would make Spinal Tap proud.
“The Midnight special edition, like our recently announced Custom Sport Silverado, lets our dealers offer a custom look right from the factory,” said Silverado marketing director, Sandor Piszar. “Customers can get a monochrome exterior, black alloy wheels and other uplevel touches, while maintaining all of the dependability Chevy trucks are famous for along with full factory warranty coverage.”
The 2015 Silverado Midnight special edition will be available in both 1500 double-cab or crew-cab models. Up to 5,000 of these vehicles will be produced, with package prices ranging from $1,595 to $1,995, depending on the model. Dealers can begin ordering the Midnight special editions in February.
