Your Daily US Honda Civic Type R Rumor
Because Honda has made us wait so long for the European-spec production model of the Civic Type R hot hatch, we’ve had plenty of time to speculate on whether or not an American version will ever materialize.
In December, there were serious rumors that a US Honda Civic Type R model was in the works, which prompted a non-committal response from the Japanese automaker. The Type R’s also been spotted being tested here in the States, although that doesn’t mean that it’s here to stay.

Today, though, the dealership seems to have backed off on the claim:
Did the dealership let something slip yesterday, and now they’re walking it back? Or did they have no idea what they were talking about, and are trying to save face by saying today that they’re only, “Keeping our fingers crossed for a U.S. version?”
We just don’t know, folks. We just don’t know.
