When you hear the word Pakistan, what is the first thing that pops into your head?
We’re guessing classic cars isn’t it.
But, lo and behold, the Vintage and Classic Car Club of Pakistan is more than 10,000 members strong and is also a driving force of preserving the auto history of its nation. The club is led by their president, Mohsin Ikraam, and they are known for sponsoring events and promotions, where their members get the chance to show off some of their impressive automobiles.
Some of the vintage cars owned by the group include a 1914 Ford Model T, a 1924 Rolls-Royce Silver Ghost model, a 1947 Lincoln Continental Convertible V12, and a 1967 Ford Mustang. Some of these cars were inherited from their country’s leaders and restored to preserve the memories associated with them.

Obviously this group is a privilege that only the wealthiest people in Pakistan get to participate in – as most of the country’s 180 million people still live under the poverty line of $2 a day.
It seems like a scene from the 1999 film Three Kings, where even in a Middle-Eastern country riddled with violence, some devoted motorheads still find a way to enjoy their luxury automobiles.
