Chevrolet And One World Play Project Will Continue Partnership
This month it was announced that One World Play Project and Chevrolet will continue to work together. Both companies believe that play is an international concept and that it can change lives. So far in the partnership’s run, Chevrolet assisted in opening new soccer fields in places like Bangkok and Chicago, as well as providing millions of yellow balls branded with the Chevrolet bowtie to children to help them get out and play.
What’s so special about the yellow One World Futbols that GM helps to get made? They are super durable, and never go flat even if they are punctured by a sharp object. The balls are being used on and off the soccer pitch to teach life skills, conflict resolution, and provide education in low-income areas of the world.
According to research by One World Play Project, children need play in their development. It helps them grow emotionally, physically, and socially. Unfortunately, there are many areas of the world where children don’t play much or not at all due to financial hardship, war, or natural disasters. One World Play Project partners with governments and organizations to help children overcome these situations and gets them back to the business of play. The One World Futbols are only one piece in a very large picture.
The partnership between Chevrolet and One World Play Project has been extended until the end of 2018, in which time they expect to produce millions of soccer balls and donate more play facilities around the world. We can’t wait to see more smiling faces playing outside around the world.
