Chevrolet Promotes New Malibu at COEX in South Korea
Chevrolet has a massive hit on its hands with the new 2016 Malibu, which is selling in the United States at a pace not seen since leg warmers, fishnet gloves, and DayGlo were high fashion. Now, Chevy is hoping that same success will translate in South Korea, where it recently launched the Malibu and kicked off a massive advertising campaign.
On May 20th and 21st, 400 new Malibu customers had the opportunity to visit Malibu Town located at the SM Town Plaza at COEX. There, they took part in an event that included a talk and quiz show featuring entertainers such as Sang-min Lee, Jae-woo Kim, and Seo-young Kong; enjoyed an exclusive concert from Mi-rae Yoon and Zion T; and enjoyed dinner at one of COEX’s fancy restaurants.
General Motors Korea VP of Vehicle Sales, Service, and Marketing Dale Sullivan and GM Korea Managing Director of Marketing Il-sup Lee were also in attendance, and they did their part to hype up the crowd about the new Malibu.
“We launched our large-scale marketing campaign to let people know about the all-new Malibu, which has received an enthusiastic response since its launch,” said Sullivan. “Our goal is to give even more people the chance to experience the outstanding value of the all-new Malibu and build even more enthusiasm.”
To help push the new Malibu, Chevy has made available a fleet of more than 500 Malibus to dealers around the country for test-driving and displaying in Seoul, Busan, and other major cities.
