Chevy Discounts the Bolt EV for May
The Chevy Bolt EV is a competitive contender in the green car segment. If you’ve been eyeing this model for a while, you might want to jump on the exclusive discounts Chevrolet is offering in May.
Per GM Authority, the deals are the brand’s way of compensating for the complete federal electric vehicle tax credits which ran out on April 1 of this year. Considering that select Bolt EV models come with a discount of $5,500, May is the perfect time to bring home a Bolt of your own.

The incentives
Here are the three deals for Bolt EV models during May, as listed on Chevrolet’s website.
- 2018 Bolt EV: $3,000 customer cash
- 2018 Bolt EV: $1,000 APR cash + 0 percent (interest-free) financing for 72 months with GM Financial
- 2019 Bolt EV: $3,000 customer cash + $2,500 purchase bonus cash = $5,500 total cash allowance
So, a 2018 Bolt EV Premier would be $38,780 instead of the original price tag of $41,780. And a 2019 Bolt EV LT would be $31,995 instead of the original MSRP of $37,495.
The only disclaimers associated with the deal are that the delivery must take place by May 31. You also can’t combine it with other offers or special finance/lease options.
