Chrysler Introduces 2017 Pacifica Minivan for $28,595
While the majority of the industry is focused on Fiat Chrysler Automobiles to see what it’s going to with its Jeep lineup, I’m sitting over here waiting for them to release more information about the 2017 Chrysler Pacifica minivan.
Yes, a minivan.
Seriously, have I mentioned yet how excited I am about this freakin’ minivan? Oh, wait, that’s right—I wrote an entire article on it.
So you might say I’m as excited about the Pacifica as the wonderful John Cena.
While the 2017 Pacifica is appealing solely on the fact that it is the first-ever hybrid minivan in the world, when you take a look at its price—and its five trim levels—it gets even better (shame on you if you thought it wasn’t possible).
The 2017 Pacifica minivan is offered in LX, Touring, Touring-L, Touring-L Plus, and Limited editions. Though these trim level names aren’t exactly original (I mean, do you really need three different Tourings?), what is original are the features they offer. Here’s a breakdown of each trim and its features:
- LX: The LX has a starting MSRP of $28,595, plus a $995 destination fee. It comes with a variety of innovative standard features, including Stow ‘n Go seats, Stow ‘n Go Assist on the driver’s side, Active Noise Cancellation, a six-speaker sound system, and second-row power windows. If that isn’t enough for you, other standard features include a ParkView rear backup camera, passive entry, and 17-inch aluminum wheels.
- Touring: For only $30,495, plus a $995 destination fee, the Pacifica Touring offers everything on the LX trim level with the addition of standard SiriusXM satellite radio, power-sliding doors, passive entry on all doors, and automatic headlamps.
- Touring-L: The Touring-L adds plenty of comfort and convenience. Standard features include leather seats, heated first-row seats, remote start, a three-zone automatic temperature control, and projector headlamps. It also has a variety of chrome accents and a power liftgate. Even better? This trim comes standard with the popular SafetyTec Group, which means it also has Blind-Spot Monitoring, Rear Cross Path detection, and ParkSense Rear Park Assist with Stop—all for only $34,895, plus a $995 destination fee.
- Touring-L Plus: When it comes to offering the kids road-trip entertainment, this is the trim level to choose. It adds a standard rear-seat entertainment system, along with a 13-speaker Alpine sound system and an 8.4-inch Uconnect touchscreen. It also has a heated steering wheel, all for $37,895 plus a $995 destination fee.
- Limited: As the most expensive Pacifica trim level—with a price tag of $42,495—the Limited is also the most tricked out. This trim offers everything the others offer, plus seat memory functions, Nappa leather, power third-row seats, ventilated front seats, 3-D navigation, and a Stow ‘n Go integrated vacuum. It also has hands-free sliding doors, and a standard tri-pane panoramic sunroof.
Chrysler is releasing the 2017 Pacifica into the wild in the spring of 2016, with the Hybrid version arriving in the second half of 2016. Until it arrives on dealerships, satisfy your need for a cool minivan by checking out these terrific pictures.
