If you’re a fan of Elmo or Oscar the Grouch, don’t despair! You can choose Oscar, Elmo, or Cookie Monster to be your mood and help you communicate with other drivers on the road.
Cookie Monster is just the latest in a long line of celebrity voices to hit the navigation app, from Star Wars’s C-3PO to Liam Neeson (we really hope you used this one if you drive a Nissan). One of our personal favorites was when Stephen Colbert added his recordings to the list and referred to police coming up as the “po-po.”
In case you haven’t heard, Waze is the navigation app that relies on user input to track things like traffic, accidents, and road problems. If you have a lead foot, you will appreciate warnings that the police are sitting on the highway ahead (although you should be driving the speed limit at all times). If you connect it to social media and your calendar, Waze can also monitor traffic and your schedule to let you know the best time to leave for appointments and meetings you arrive on time.

When Waze adds special celebrity voices, we never know how long they will stick around. Make sure that you use Cookie Monster to tell you how to get to Sesame Street before time runs out.
