Dodge Makes Orange Go Mango Paint Option on All Challengers and Chargers
Dodge really likes its crazy colors this year. After introducing the Plum Crazy hue—a nice, bright purple—for its 2016 Challenger and Charger SRT models, the American performance carmaker has decided to add another bright color to its portfolio—Go Mango.
As you might assume from its name, the Go Mango color is a bright orange that highlights the Challenger and Charger models’ muscular form. While this color was originally only available for the Hellcat and SRT models only, Dodge recently opened its availability to the entire Charger and Challenger lineup due to its popularity.
“We’ve seen a tremendous response from our customers after we announced the return of Go Mango at the 11th annual Spring Festival in California,” said Tim Kuniskis, Head of Dodge, SRT, Chrysler, and Fiat in North America. “In fact, nearly half of all SRT and Hellcat orders are for Go Mango. To meet consumer demand, we plan to expand this modernized heritage color to the entire Charger and Challenger lineup later this spring.”
The Go Mango exterior color option truly speaks to Dodge’s heritage. It was first introduced as an option in the 1970 Dodge Challenger. While it slowly faded away from the brand’s color options—it was last seen in 2006 on certain Charger R/T Daytona models— Go Mango popped up again on the 2016 Dart. Now, it’s a regular option for the SRT 392 and Hellcat until it is available for all Challenger and Charger models.
