Honda Sweeps Kelley Blue Book’s ‘Best Buy’ Awards
Honda models swept the Kelley Blue Book’s annual “Best Buy” competition, topping six of the 12 automotive categories featured:
- Small Car: 2018 Honda Civic
- Mid-Size Car: 2018 Honda Accord
- Electric/Hybrid Car: 2018 Honda Clarity Plug-In Hybrid
- Small SUV/Crossover: 2018 Honda CR-V
- Midsize SUV/Crossover: 2018 Honda Pilot
- Minivan: 2018 Honda Odyssey
Additionally, the all-new 2018 Honda Accord took the top spot as the “Overall Best Buy” of every vehicle evaluated in the competition, establishing Honda as a true leader in the modern automotive industry.
“It outclasses the competition in almost every meaningful measure,” said Kelley Blue Book’s editors about the 2018 Honda Accord. “It also sells for far less than the average new car while providing more features, better fuel economy and a more proven reputation for quality and reliability.”
Somewhat of note is that half of the categories that were not won by a Honda model had no possible Honda competitor (the Luxury Car, Performance Car, and Luxury SUV/Crossover segments). In other words, the automaker swept a full two-thirds of the categories it entered.
“We’re exceptionally proud to have dominated this year’s Kelly Blue Book awards, which really reinforces our unique focus on individual car buyers and on delivering the best overall value and lowest long-term ownership cost for the customer,” said Jeff Conrad, senior vice president of the Automobile Division of American Honda. “Shoppers who want to make a smart buying decision are well served by KBB’s unique approach to evaluating new vehicles, which is informed by both their extensive market data and their deep product expertise.”
