The prestigious Red Dot Awards recently recognized Hyundai Motor Company with five honors for creative design work.

The company’s Pavilion Spatial Communication, which debuted at the 2018 Winter Olympics, won two awards. This pavilion features interactive displays that communicate Hyundai’s innovative fuel cell technology and future mobility strategy. It’s currently on display at the Songwon Art Center in Seoul, South Korea.

One award honored the pavilion as “Best of the Best” in overall Brand Experience Installation. The other award, for Sound Design, recognized the unique soundscapes deployed within the pavilion to represent and conceptualize the Hyundai brand.

Hyundai’s SOLATI Moving Hotel won a “Best of the Best” award as well, this one for Sound Design. Hyundai partnered with the SM Entertainment group to develop this light luxury van for SM celebrity clients. The Moving Hotel offers built-in mirrors and special lighting for occupants to do their hair and makeup, along with a dressing area, storage space, and mini-fridge.
