If you’re the type of person who loves pulling up next to a Mustang GT at a red light just so you can hear the sound of its powerful V8 engine, then you’ll probably enjoy the ad recently published by Lexus International, which showcases the Lexus LC 500 luxury coupe and its rumbling V8 motor.
The minute and a half video begins with footage from the Goodwood Festival of Speed that took place a few months ago. After those images from the festival finish, a sharply-dressed man is shown approaching the new Lexus coupe. This gentleman then starts the car so everybody can hear the sounds of the RC 500’s naturally aspirated eight cylinders.
Viewers get a good look at this luxury coupe’s triple LED headlights, which flash on and off for the camera, before also getting a close up shot of the Lexus’ signature “spindle” grille. Furthermore, one of the noticeable aspects of the ad is how quiet the interior appears to be even while the vehicle rockets over the roadways.
This eye-catching Lexus made its global debut earlier this year at the Detroit Auto Show and is expected to be released in the spring of 2017. Underneath the hood, consumers will find a 467-horsepower V8 that works with a 10-speed automatic transmission. The powertrain directs power to the rear wheels, and Lexus is so confident in the LC 500’s performance capabilities that it estimated the coupe requires less than 4.5 seconds to zip from 0 to 60 mph.
Unfortunately, potential buyers still have a few months to wait before they can get their hands on the new Lexus RC 500. Until that time, they can watch the video below and listen to the sounds produced by Lexus’ new flagship luxury coupe.
