Lincoln Motor Company has appointed Mao Jingbo the new president of Lincoln Asia Pacific and China, a move which will take effect on July 16. Jingbo, who was most recently the executive vice president of smart/AMG/V-Class and Vito Sales Operations for Beijing Mercedes-Benz Sales Service Company, will oversee Lincoln’s business operations in the region at a point where it continues to gain a foothold in the luxury market and looks to expand with domestic production.
“Jingbo’s leadership and track record of leading luxury auto brands in China make her the ideal person to lead Lincoln, one of the fastest growing luxury auto brands in the world’s largest vehicle market,” said Peter Fleet. “She will help us further drive Lincoln’s growth in Asia Pacific by evolving ‘The Lincoln Way’; offering more innovative, elegant products; and expanding our dealership footprint to reach every corner of the market.”

Jingbo offers 20 years of experience in terms of sales and marketing in the Chinese luxury auto industry. Previous roles include stints as general manager of Region North and head of marketing for Mercedes-Benz China. She will report to Fleet and Global Lincoln Marketing, Sales, and Service Director Robert Parker and will be based out of Shanghai.
She will replace Amy Marentic, who has been appointed Ford’s global autonomous vehicle director of marketing.
“Amy has done a terrific job as our president of Lincoln Asia Pacific and China during the past two years. She brought great enthusiasm to her job and built a strong team of local talents. Under her leadership, Lincoln has become one of the fastest growing luxury auto brands in China,” said Fleet. “I would like to thank Amy for her hard work and dedication during the past two years and wish her all the best in her new role.”
In every year since arriving in China, Lincoln has seen its sales increase exponentially. Through May, Lincoln’s sales are up 2 percent with 19,964 vehicles delivered.
