Ford is Going to Put a Mustang on the Burj Khalifa
Update: You can read all about Ford’s Burj Khalifa event and check out the replay of the live event below (starts at the 51-minute mark), though Kyle Johnson watched this hilarious, awful mess so that you don’t have to.

Remember back in April when, in order to adequately celebrate the 50th anniversary of the Ford Mustang and the launch of the 2015 model, Ford recreated its original 1965 stunt and put an all-new Mustang at the top of the Empire State Building?
Given that Ford is in the business of proliferation—doing it better and doing it bigger—Ford is looking to celebrate the impending release of the 2015 Ford Mustang in international markets such as Europe, Australia, and the Middle East by doing something even bigger. Specifically, about 1,300 feet bigger.
Yep. Ford is probably going to put a Mustang on the Burj Khalifa in Dubai.
The video’s hints that there will be a 2015 Mustang on the Burj Khalifa in order to kick off the model’s launch in the Middle East is substantiated by a photo obtained by Jalopnik of Bill Ford being interviewed in what appears to be one of the Burj Khalifa’s upper floors.
The video says that the event in question will be happening at 8pm Dubai Time, which would be 11 am EST tomorrow morning. You can check out a live stream at www.youtube.com/fordmiddleast.
For a bit of background: the Burj Khalifa, at 2,722 feet, is the tallest mad-made structure ever built, besting America’s tallest structure—1 World Trade Center—by more than 950 feet. So, yeah, it’s pretty intimidating (unless you’re Tom Cruise).
