Nissan June Sales Up 5.3 Percent, Division Up 12.7 Percent in First Half
Nissan June sales were up 5.3 percent with a total of 109,643 units delivered in the United States. Nissan Division’s 101,069-vehicle figure (a 6.4 percent year-over-year increase) was good enough for the brand’s best June ever and its 15th monthly record in the last 16 months of sales.
The Altima led the pack volume-wise for Nissan, despite being down 2.9 percent for the month. The 26,111 Altimas sold in June were good enough to bring the model to 5.2 percent ahead of its pace through the first six months of 2013.
The Sentra was Nissan’s most significant gainer in June with 17,097 units sold and a 67.6 percent year-over-year increase. The Sentra continues its march toward a record-setting year with 93,898 examples delivered at the 2014 halfway point.
The Versa also enjoyed a record month with 11,613 units sold, a 33.4 percent year-over-year leap.
Other top performers for the Nissan brand include the Rogue (15,066 vehicles); Pathfinder (6,361 vehicles); and Frontier (5,722 vehicles).
The LEAF EV also enjoyed a record June with 2,347 vehicles sold. To date, sales of the LEAF are up 29.4 percent.
To date, Nissan Division sales are up 12.7 percent over the first six months of 2013.
