Nissan has released their sales and production numbers for April to September 2013—and they look great, with Nissan’s global sales up 13% on a year-to-year basis. In fact, September was a record breaking month for Nissan as the manufacturer sold 448,926 units. Nissan is seeing great gains in Japan especially, with the brand selling 16% better in the country year over year.

Thanks to the new DAYZ in Japan—a minicar sold exclusively in Japan as of now—the minicar segment is selling 101.9% better in Japan alone, a great contribution to the overall growth of the brand in that country.
As far as the United States is concerned, the Nissan Altima was the 10th best-selling car in America for the month of September. It’s no wonder the Altima is so popular—with its low sticker price, high fuel economy, and sleek exterior, it’s an awesome option at the midsize sedan level. The numbers don’t lie: April through September were outstanding months for the Nissan brand.
