As the Nissan LEAF NISMO RC took to the track, it effectively made its mark in history as the first EV to pace a North American or Canadian motorsports series. Boasting elements including outstanding drivetrain tech and an advanced battery akin to the best-selling EV, the Nissan LEAF, the Nissan LEAF NISMO RC set an eco-friendly pace for the intense racing weekend.

According to Nissan, Bédard dominated the Saturday race from the get-go.

“In the end, [Torontonian Marco] Signoretti, a rookie driver with karting experience that’s competing in a racing car for the first time, finished in second place right on Bédard’s heels and just ahead of [Kevin] King, [Valérie] Limoges, and [Jake] Exton.”
