Chevrolet has finally disclosed quite a few secrets recently regarding the Silverado lineup for the 2019 model year: the engine options for the 2019 Silverado 1500, modifications to expect on the 2019 Silverado 2500HD and 3500HD, and establishing the flowtie badge for the 2019 Chevrolet Silverado chassis cab trucks. The latest bit of news is that we now have official photos of the 2019 Silevardo RST.

The most dominant features on this truck’s eterior are the full LED headlights, rugged 22-inch wheels, and cohesive body-color trim. While some rumors indicate that a prototype truck spotted in Michigan was outfitted with in-bed sports bars, the brand’s official release photos of the RST don’t include this feature, so it’s likely to be just an available add-on option rather than a standard amenity for the 2019 Silverado.

True to the brand’s reputation for reliable brawn, the 2019 Silverado RST comes with the consumer’s choice of a 2.7-liter turbo-four engine or a more potent 5.3-liter L84 V8 engine. The former outputs 310 horsepower and 348 lb-ft of torque, which is significantly more energy than the power ratings of the older 4.3-liter V6 engine found in previous model years (which churned out a mere 285 horsepower and 305 lb-ft of torque).

We await more details about the interior and technology offerings of the RST. But, judging from the spy shots, it promises to be a more stylish version of the 2019 Silverado for drivers who want to elaborate on the conventional assets found on the base model.
