Subaru Launch Control to Stream New Season on Amazon
Subaru’s behind-the-scenes motorsports documentary series, Launch Control, is returning for a seventh season on August 28 with an exciting new partner. Subaru of America has joined forces with Amazon to cross-cross publish new episodes on both Subaru’s YouTube Channel and Amazon Prime Video, where it will be available for free for all Amazon Prime members.
The season will rev things up by dropping four episodes simultaneously on both platforms before returning to its regular bi-weekly release schedule. Additionally, the entire sixth season is available to stream as we speak.

Launch Control follows the excitement and difficulties of Subaru’s massively successful rally team across a season and has earned rave reviews and even awards since its debut in 2013. Subaru’s YouTube channel boasts nearly 400,000 subscribers, and Launch Control has collected over 1,200,000 total views across its 85 episodes. As impressive as these numbers are, its presence on Amazon can only increase the show’s public profile.
The series also holds a 9.2-star audience rating on IMDB and earned multiple W3 awards for online video content in 2015, with the first episode of season three snagging a Gold Award for Branded Content.
Pit stop: Take care of your Subaru
Season seven promises to deliver plenty of action considering there have been some major developments since the end of season six. The Subaru team moved to a brand new facility, launched a nostalgic blue and gold vehicle pattern, and welcomed multiple-time rallycross champion Scott Speed and 17-year old racing wunderkind Oliver Solberg to the family.
In a press release revealing Subaru’s partnership with Amazon, Motorsports Manager for Subaru of America William Stokes said “Racing is in our blood, and nowhere is that easier to see than in Launch Control. We’re proud to bring the series to Amazon Prime Video to give fans a chance to experience the thrill of rally and rallycross anywhere and on any device.”
